Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Commemorative Breakfast
This program endeavors to honor and celebrate the legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, who devoted his life to advancing equality and justice for all. Dr. King’s Christian and civic contributions to our Nation are recognized, and each program participant’s involvement is reflective of his public example. This program helps with AACAC operational expenses and scholarship awards.

Parade & Festival
The parade highlights the unity of all citizens who participate in a wholesome manner.
The festival seeks to promote the black community's skills, gifts, and talents through song, dance, or spoken word. The festival showcases local artists, entertainers, musicians, proprietors, and community organizations who demonstrate the continuing vision of Dr. King through their contributions.
Kathleen B. Greene Achievement Awards
This program is named after a devoted Putnam County School District educator who taught English and Literature courses. Kathleen B. Greene’s life embodied the professional oaths she took. She exemplified the Christian traits of service to others, caring for disadvantaged youth, and advocating for the education rights of all minorities in the Palatka community. AACAC honors her legacy by recognizing and awarding the academic achievements of 50 middle and 50 high schools of the minority community.
Gospel Extravaganza
This event is focused on exposing the black community in the Putnam County area to the awareness of black vocalists, artistic expressions of various genres, and spotlighting new talents.
Speakers Tournament
This event is designed to develop leadership in middle and high school students by teaching them excellence in public speaking, poise, and confidence through verbal/oral expressions of various topics that may have been profiled in current newspapers, publications, and/or television. The emphasis will be on articulating the truth of significant events and happenings in the world that are shaping and enhancing the African American experiences.
Annual Scholarships
AACAC identifies and awards a graduating high school senior a monetary scholarship for educational expenses at an accredited vocational school, college, and/or higher institution. The selected student(s) will receive the award on a designated day and time.
Historical & Legacy
This program displays the cultural history and artifacts of African Americans' experiences that emerged from Palatka and the surrounding communities.
